Bainbridge Island, Washington native, Carrie Goller, was informed by her first-grade teacher that she would be an artist, but spent her early career as a paralegal. It took a life-changing health predicament in 2002 for her to discover the artistic calling. Goller’s work reflects a blend of classical and experimental approaches, drawing inspiration from nature’s organic forms and vibrant colors. Her portfolio spans various genres and multiple media, including oil, cold wax, encaustic, and egg tempera, which she frequently blends into mixed media pieces. Mentored by Max Hayslette, she has also studied under renowned artists such as Brad Kunkle, Juliette Aristides, Gabriel Lipper, Jim Lamb and Ned Mueller. She attended Northwest College of Art (now Northwest College of Art & Design). Goller’s pieces grace private and corporate collections worldwide, and she has exhibited in museums and galleries in Washington, Arizona and California. Her solo exhibitions of encaustic seascapes and creature paintings at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art garnered attention. She is a signature member of Artists for Conservation. Working from her scenic Hood Canal, Washington seaside studio, Goller continues to explore the delicate balance between tradition and innovation.
