Notes
A piece based on the artist/musicians love for not only big band music, but also steam train locomotives. This signature tune of the Duke Ellington Orchestra was written by composer Billy Strayhorn after being hired by Ellington and is based on subway directions given to Strayhorn to the band leaders home in Harlem, New York. The artist, also an accomplished touring trumpet player feels a resonance of childhood memories of trains long gone and the mode of transportation taken by many musicians of the day when listening to the music of this time period.

Inspired by: "Take the "A" Train" by Duke Ellington Orchestra
