Landscape Painting – Corot to Monet!

For those of you who, like us, are fans of 19th century French landscape art, here is an interesting exhibition that is currently on view at the Cornell Fine Arts Museum in Winter Park, FL. — Towards Impressionism: Landscape Painting from Corot to Monet.  The paintings on display (45 in all) come from the Musée des Beaux Arts in Reims which owns one of the largest collections of French 19th century landscape paintings.

Among the artists featured in the exhibit are: Eugène Boudin, Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot, Gustave Courbet, Charles-Francois Daubigny, Narcisse Virgille Diaz de la Peña, Jules Dupré, Henri-Joseph Harpignies, Charles Jacque, Stanislas Lépine, Jean-Francois Millet, Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Théodore Rousseau and Félix Ziem.

The exhibition runs from January 20 – April 8, 2018 and then will make its way to the Frye Art Museum, Seattle, WA, from May 12 – August 05, 2018.
