A New York judge has ordered Mana Fine Art to release the Mugrabi collection of about 1400 works. Of course, Mana is going to appeal the judge’s decision, so the matter is still not over.

Mana was holding the collection hostage, claiming that Mugrabi owned them about $600,000 in storage fees.  Mugrabi claims that Mana agreed to store their art for free in return for introductions to other collectors and dealers. Looks like a “He Said, She Said”!

The Mugrabis plan to move all of their art to another New Jersey storage facility owned by Crozier Fine Art.
