The Berkshire Eagle reported today that there was a dramatic shift away from litigation, [as] the Attorney General’s Office is now working alongside the Berkshire Museum to resolve whether the storied Pittsfield institution has the right to sell the most valuable works in its collection.  According to the article, until an answer is found, no art will be sold.  So, I guess we are in a holding pattern … the old, hurry up and wait!

Members of Save the Art (a vocal group opposing the sale), are hopeful that all of the paintings (which are currently in the hands of Sotheby’s) will be returned to the museum.
