Van Gogh’s Grasshopper

A conservator at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art made an interesting discovery.  While examining van Gogh’s Olive Trees under magnification, Mary Schafer discovered the partial remains of a grasshopper. Guess it does confirm that the artist painted outdoors!  Wonder what else is hidden under those thick layers of paint?
