Berkshire Museum
The stove is getting really hot now that a second lawsuit has emerged … this one from three residents of Lenox. Their contention is that the sale will “irreparably harm the Pittsfield museum.” Both lawsuits have a hearing date of November 1 … so we will not have to wait too long.
It is sad that museums need to monetize their collection to stay alive … there must be better ways? Oh wait, a few have been put forward; but the museum doesn’t seem to care.
