June 15, 2017

Earlier this month it was revealed that more than 120 pieces, worth some $200,000, were stolen, over a period of months, from the largest private collection of “Star Wars” memorabilia. The owner/collector, Steve Sansweet, started acquiring the collectibles over 40 years ago … the collection now contains over 400,000 items — that is a lot of Star Wars stuff!

Turns out it was a fellow collector and family friend, Carl Cunningham, who committed the crime. Carl was arrested and charged with felony grand theft.  Goes to show you that the Force will catch you … in this case it was the Police Force!
