“Art Dealer” arrested in New Orleans is indicted in Manhattan

June 20, 2017

They always say that leopards never change their spots (not even if those spots were created by Damien Hirst) … so why did they ever release this guy?  The other day we posted a story about Vince Lopreto being extradited to New York to face charges. Well, now we know what those charges are: International Fraud.

Turns out that shortly after being released from prison, for a similar offence, Lopreto (and a few cohorts) went back to what he knows best … selling fakes! This time it was over $400,000 worth of fake Hirsts that were sold to people around the globe.  So sad how these things happen over and over again.

And if you would like to see the full painting by Kari Tirrell – Attempted Murder
