After a long legal battle as to the ownership, the Gurlitt collection will go on view in Bern and Bonn between November 2017 and March 2018.  The true provenance of many works in the collection, which includes paintings by Matisse, Monet, Renoir and Picasso, is still a mystery and as the article states: Authorities suspect the Nazis stole many of the works from Holocaust victims.
