Milene Fernandez’s review of the Valentin de Boulogne exhibition currently on view at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This is the first exhibition dedicated to a genius among 17th-century French artists. It runs until Jan. 16, 2017, then will go on view at the Musée du Louvre in Paris from Feb. 20 to May 22, 2017. Boulogne was born in France on January 3, 1591, by 1620 he was studying in Italy and died in Rome on August 19, 1632. If you are a fan of 17th century painting, this one is for you!
