Like everything else, show promoters have taken it to the extreme — flooding markets with too many shows. I believe the weaker events will fall by the wayside. We have been here before and as they say: history always repeats itself. On top of that, the finest of shows — Tefaf Maastricht — will now have two additional fairs, both in New York. One will take place this fall and the other in the spring of 2017. It will be interesting to see how these shows impact the Maastricht event.
