An army veteran makes art from fishing lines, and he’s blind

An amazing story just in time for Memorial Day… and far nicer than those stupid people who filmed their kids destroying a work of art!

Army sergeant Jim Stevens was shot in the head during a mission in the Vietnam War.  He miraculously survived; however, 23 years later, remaining bullet fragments lodged in his skull shifted leading to a stroke.  When he woke up in the hospital his vision had decreased to what he describes as “small pin dots straight ahead.”  With encouragement from his daughters, Steven picked up his love for art and began creating one of a kind works he calls “monofilament paintings.”  Check out the video below:
